李肇《唐国史补》载:“张旭草书得笔法,后传崔邈、颜真卿。旭言:‘始吾见公主担夫争路,而得笔法之意:后见公孙氏舞《剑器》,而得其神。’”张旭见担夫争道和观公孙大娘舞《剑器》而悟笔法的故事可谓家喻户晓,但对这两个故事所蕴涵的深意却众说纷纭、莫衷一是。杜甫《观公孙大娘弟子舞剑器行·并序》云:“观公孙氏舞《剑器》、《浑脱》,浏漓顿挫。……昔者吴人张旭善草书书帖,数尝于邺县见公孙大娘舞西河《剑器》,自此草书长进。豪荡感激,即公孙可知矣。”黄
