以硅酸铝为基础的堵水工艺的目的在于用选择性封堵高渗透地层或小层的方法提高波及程度,从而提高陆源地层的原油采收率。在开采渗透率不同的地层或小层的油田时,向地层注入能在储层孔隙空间形成三维凝胶的酸性硅酸铝溶液。这种工艺用于地层温度为20~90℃的陆源储层。在孔隙空间形成的凝胶可使饱和油和饱和水的小层中水的流度降低到1/10~1/50,同时油的流度不变或者增大。见效采油井的产液含水率大大降低,同时采油量增大。这种工艺对于陆源储层的任何地质物理条件都有较宽的生成胶凝时间的调节能力。
