On November 10, 2007, “Forum on Human Survival and Development and Geoenvironment Protection and Opening Ceremony of Guizhou Provincial Geological Environment Monitoring Institute” was held in Guiyang. The Forum on Human Survival and Development and Geoenvironmental Protection was organized by the Environment Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources. Dr Jiang Jianjun, Director of the Environment Department of the Ministry of Land and Resources, Dr Yin Yueping, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Geological Survey, Drum Environment and Land Renovation of China Geological Environment Monitoring Institute
