周口店“北京人”遗址的底砾石层和附近下砾石层(以下简称底砾石层和下砾石层),经古地磁测量结果为70—80万年,定为中更新世。关于其成因,前人曾做过大量工作,但多从宏观观察或古生物生态特征进行分析与研究,意见颇不一致。本文通过电子显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、差热分析、X射线衍射、化学分析、有机质、pH值测定和轻,重矿物组合等研究的成果,结合我国西部第四纪冰川沉积物岩矿特征对比,来探讨其形成时期的气候环境。
The bottom gravel layer and the nearby lower gravel layer (hereinafter referred to as the bottom gravel layer and the lower gravel layer) of the “Beijingers” site in Zhoukoudian are classified as the middle Pleistocene by the paleomagnetic survey result of 70-80 million years. As to its causes, a great deal of work has been done by predecessors, but most of them are analyzed and studied from macroscopic observation or paleontological and ecological characteristics. The views are quite inconsistent. Based on the results of electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, chemical analysis, organic matter, pH measurement and light and heavy mineral assemblages, combined with the characteristics of Quaternary glacial deposits in western China, To explore the climate of its formation period.
