由中央电视台和澳门特别行政区政府联合摄制,为“澳门回归祖国十周年”而特别制作的8集大型电视纪录片《澳门十年》,于2009年12月11日至18日每晚20点,在中央电视台一套黄金时间隆重首播,并在中文国际频道同日22点重播,12月12日至19日,《澳门十年》在英语、西班牙语、法语、阿拉伯语、俄语国际频道播出,澳门电视台中文频道于12月14日每晚20点15分播出《澳门十年》,并制作粤语版、葡萄牙语版陆续播出。《澳门十年》以大覆盖、高频率、多语种向全球强势推出,在全社会产生了热烈的反响,在澳门及海外观众中产生了热烈的回应。2008年3月,《澳门十年》经中央电视台编委会作为重点项目立项,随后,该节目作为国务院港澳办重点宣传节目立项、国家广电总局重大理论文献纪录片立项。这部由中央电视台海外中心承制的大型电视纪录片,主创人员均为《再说长江》《香港十年》摄制组原班人马。2007年,《香港十年》获得了很大的成功和褒奖,然而,这也给《澳门十年》纪录片的创作带来了极大挑战。
