Until recently, the East Asian dragons countries were also highly acclaimed for their “impressive economic policies” and honored as models for the national economy. Is the East Asian economic crisis totally unexpected? What caused serious economic turmoil in East Asia? What should people learn from economic policies and monetary policy lessons? What is the impact of this crisis on the world? This article explores these issues.
