伍麟凯偶然参演林心如、刘涛等主演的古装剧《大理公主》,饰演少年段濯义而进入演艺圈。2012年出演微电影《十二星座发财梦》之《我信》,担任男主角阿杰。2013年和路晨、冯波等主演惊悚悬疑奇幻电影《少女灵异日记》;担任男一号高杰森;同年出演章子怡、黄晓明、陈楚生主演的励志爱情电影《无问西东》,饰演冠丰。2014年11月他和郑希怡领衔的网络剧《古镜》。2015年,在警匪动作电影《湄公河行动》中饰演中国特警。
