民族声乐艺术,从狭义上来讲,一般是指民族唱法,即以目前我国音乐院校中民族声乐专为代表的,既不同于民歌、说唱、戏曲的演唱,又是在继承并发扬了这些传统演唱艺术精华与特点的基础上,借鉴、吸收西欧美声唱法的歌唱理论和优点而形成的独树一帜的,具有科学性、民族性、艺术性和时代精神特征的新民族歌唱艺术。从广义上来讲,则涵盖传统的民歌、戏曲、曲艺、歌剧等,是指人民大众在社会生活中历史地产生、社会地传承、集体地保留,在日常生活中广泛传唱的一种声乐种类或音乐体裁。民族声乐是我国歌曲艺术的美丽瑰宝,是历史和人民留给我们的宝贵艺术财产,并在社会生活和艺术创作中不断发展和完善。
