2007年10月4日,美国加州州长施瓦辛格在上海与青年汽车集团董事局主席庞青年就青年汽车在加州生产电动汽车项目的举行高级会谈,以加州州长身份“力挺”中美企业在电动汽车领域开展深入合作。据了解合作双方为青年汽车集团与美国ZAP公司。双方将以股份制的形式在美国加州成立电动车研发中心,同时在中国建立电动车生产基地,生产的新型电动汽车将销往全球市场。
