长三角地区占全国1％的土地、6％的人口,GDP占到全国18．5％、财政收入20％。目前,这一地区的经济活力日趋扩散。以地域为范围,几大都市圈已经在这里形成:上海大都市圈,宁镇扬(南京、镇江、扬州)都市圈、杭嘉湖(杭州、嘉兴、湖州)都市圈、苏锡常(苏州、无锡、常州)都市圈等。作为长三角地区的重要组成部分,苏南地区的经济发展有着自己独有的特点。本刊记者踏上南下之路,寻访发展中的新苏南。
The Yangtze River Delta region accounts for 1% of the country’s land with 6% of the population. GDP accounts for 18.5% of the country’s total and fiscal revenue is 20%. At present, the economic dynamism in this area is increasingly spreading. In terms of geographical area, several major metropolitan areas have formed here: metropolitan area of Shanghai, metropolitan area of Ningzhenyang (Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou), metropolitan area of Hangjiahu (Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou), Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou ) Metropolitan area and so on. As an important part of the Yangtze River Delta region, the economic development in southern Jiangsu has its own unique characteristics.
