1934年曹禺创作了杰出的四幕话剧《雷雨》,曹禺因之成名,《雷雨》及其之后的《日出》被誉为中国话剧成熟的标志。的确,曹禺熟练地运用了话剧这种外来形式,并自如深刻地表现了本民族的生活,在人物塑造,在话剧结构及动态语言上都达到了一个新的高度,形成了作家独特的艺术个性。直至今日,《雷雨》中的人物命运仍然牵动着每一位读者的心,并无不叹服其现实主义的伟大创造力。 In 1934, Cao Yu created an outstanding four-screen drama “Thunderstorm”.
