针对我省早熟辣散主栽品种存在的品质差、抗性弱、产量低等缺点,我们以早熟性强、品质佳、抗病抗逆性强、产量高、耐贮运为主要选育目标,在1988年南繁中选择具目标性状及其它主要经济性状表现比良、优缺点互补的亲本配组,母本为一地方品种提纯提复壮的N_2株系,早熟,株型紧凑,坐果率高,果小,长灯笼形。父本是从外地引进的一甜椒品种自交育成的J_88株系,灯笼形,果大肉厚,抗病抗逆性强。1989年经春组合比较,N_2×J_(88)组合配合力强,综合性状达到了选育目标的要求。
