The 2nd Chinese Atmospheric Symposium jointly organized by China Geophysical Society and China Meteorological Society was held in Beijing from May 25 to 28, 1984 with 48 scientific and technical personnel from all the relevant units in the country. Zhu Gangkun, vice chairman of China Geophysical Society, Xiao Zuo, executive director and deputy secretary-general, and Zhou Xiuji, director of China Meteorological Society attended the conference.
