On May 7, 2016, the “New Chinese Artists Series - Hubei Provincial Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Paintings”, co-sponsored by the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and jointly sponsored by the Chinese National Academy of Painting and the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture, was grandly opened in the National Art Museum of China. The exhibition features nearly 100 pieces of Chinese paintings by Dong Jining, Li Naiwei, Xie Xiaohong, Peng Taibu, Li Feng, Luo Bin, Lu Shao-fu, Chen Yun-quan, Zhong Kui-jian and Zhu Ya-mei from Hubei province. Yang Xiaoyang, dean of China National Academy of Painting and vice chairman of Chinese Artists Association, Yan Rongli, deputy director of Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and member of the party group, addressed the opening ceremony.
