随着近代边疆危机加剧,清末民初孤悬新疆西北的阿尔泰地区先后经历了科阿分治、归并新疆、设立阿山道(区)等重大事件。随着阿尔泰行政建制的不断完善,城市从无到有初步发展;通过添官设治和以城市为核心的开发建设,阿尔泰地区有效应对了俄(苏)殖民渗透;城市不仅促进了区域经济开发,还对确保新疆西北边防稳固发挥了重要作用。
With the intensification of the crisis in the frontier areas in the late Qing Dynasty, the Altai area lonely in the northwest of Xinjiang at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China went through the partition of Khoa and then merged with Xinjiang in the Altai area, setting up the A Shan Road (district) and other major events. With the continuous improvement of the Altai administrative system, the city developed from scratch. Through the promotion of government officials and the city-centered development and construction, the Altai region effectively coped with the colonial infiltration by Russia (the Soviet Union). The city not only promoted regional economic development , But also played an important role in ensuring the stability of the northwestern border in Xinjiang.
