MTU has been keeping a close watch on the increasingly stringent railroad diesel emissions limits and has successfully developed several technical solutions that will ensure its ability to provide an economically attractive railroad diesel engine in the future. This article focuses on the MTU company to achieve emissions optimization of railway diesel engines to take both the exhaust gas recirculation and exhaust after-treatment two measures.
