江达县觉拥地区泥盆系,首先为西藏地质局一队和中国地质科学院李永森等划分出来,并以扎穷剖面为代表,分为4层,时代定为中晚泥盆世。但王增吉、俞学光根据李永森等提供的标本.在该剖面3—4层中,鉴定出(竹蜓)类:Zellia calanii Kahler et Kahler, Z.elatior Kahler et Kahler,Rugosofusulina sp.,Pseudofusulina sp.;珊瑚:Durha- mina changduensis Wang 等,认为3—4层应划归石炭纪。由于1—2层未获化石,并不排出也属石炭纪的可能。
