一、宋湘其人宋湘(1757~1826),字焕襄,号芷湾、芷帆,广东嘉应(今广东梅州)人。乾隆五十七年(1792)广东乡试解元,嘉庆四年(1799)进士,改翰林院庶吉士。先后主讲惠州丰湖书院、广州粤秀书院。嘉庆十年授翰林院编修。曾任四川、贵州乡试正考官。嘉庆十八年出任云南省曲靖府知府,后历任广南知府、迤西道员兼大理知府、迤南道员、永昌知府、楚雄知府等职。道光五年(1825)升湖北督粮道,次年卒于湖北观察署任上,年七十一岁。有《红杏山房集》传世。

Daoguang five years (1825) rose Hubei Governor grain Road, died the following year Hubei Observatory office, at the age of 71 years. A “red apricot Hill House Collection” handed down.
