In the light of Neo-historicist “subversion ” and “inhibition ” to look at Jack Kerouac’s novel “on the road”, we will find some interesting paradox: in the “collapse” The young people are pursuing the supremacy of spirit and the rebellious appearance of sensual supremacy, hiding the essence of materialism and the supremacy of nature. The behavior of rebellious and unruly young people walking on the road to subversion of the mainstream culture in the United States at that time contained and compromised the ethical order of the mainstream society. Behind the rebellion and subversion, the absolute authority of the mainstream society and the mainstream culture still stands.
