冲击回转钻进技术具有显著技术经济效益，已越来越广泛地为钻探工作者们所接受。冲击器是实现冲击回转钻进必须的和关键性的工具。1985年1月8～15日，地矿部探矿工程装备工业公司在昆明召开了SX54-Ⅲ型冲击器技术鉴定会。与会代表一致认为，该冲击器是我国首创的一种新型液动冲击器。它的工作原理独特，零部件和易损件少，启动容易，工作性能稳定可靠，故障少，调整使用方便，有良好的耐背压特性和较高冲击频率，适合于不同孔深和较差条件下工作，在生产试验中获得了较好的效果。一致通过鉴定，并建议批量生产。
