This quay school in Saint Ouen, France, is in the center of the city’s strategic location - the Marina Mixed Development Zone. This is a sustainable city development project, designed by MIKOU DESIGN STUDIO, a Parisian architect. Although the school is located in the center of an urban area consisting mainly of high-rise office buildings and residential buildings, it is not overlooked. The roof of the school is very special, and this is one of its basic characteristics. Through the gaps in the surrounding buildings, people can see its existence at a glance. The architect hopes the zero-energy school will become a symbol of a sustainable development at Zac des Docks and a strong architectural landmark in the immediate surroundings.
