据建设部’95城建统计公报称,1995年城市新建房竣工面积达53130.8万平方米,比上年增长71.7%.其中住宅为21710.6万平方米,增长11.5%.到年底,住宅使用总面积达223968万平方米,居住总面积达151575万平方米.年末居住人口为——18946.9万人.人均使用面积达11.8平方米,增加0.4平方米;人均居住面积达8平方米,增加0.3平方米,居民的居住状况继续改善.特别是随着“安居工程”计划的实施,解决一部分中低收入者的住房问题,改善了他们的居住条件.
