In 1953, Watson and Crick published the DNA double helix pattern for 30 years. In April 1983 in London, England, the “DNA Thirty Years” Symposium was held in New York City in September to discuss molecular biology Today and tomorrow in honor of this remarkable feat as a new era in molecular biology.
