This article is an excerpt from “Psychology of Exercise,” book by Thomas Tutko, Ph.D. in American psychology, and Umberto Tosi. The original title is “Sports Psychi-ng,” which can be translated as “sports psychology.” However, Japanese translators Matsuda Iwata and Ikeda Kazuyuki believe that this book is more than 20 years of in-depth investigation among athletes, such as Professor Tutek Research results, it is only translated as “sports psychology” can not fully express the contents of the book, then translated as “sports psychology for victory” (Japan’s Kodansha in 1978 published, the English version was published in 1976). This article is based on the Japanese translation of the translation, a total of four chapters, two series, mainly introduces the athletes in peacetime, training, pre-competition and competition sports psychology training specific three stages of learning methods. The three stages of further step by step, structured, available for our coaches, athletes reference. However, because the author cites a large number of documents, coupled with the delicate and eccentric psychological terms more, so Japanese translators also think difficult to translate and more difficult to understand. We encountered a lot of terms in this translation difficult to express, in addition to test translation, after the translation of the more attached with the original, for everyone to study.
