Researchers at Laval University in Canada recently discovered that strawberry and cranberry polyphenols can improve insulin sensitivity in overweight and obese people, thereby reducing the risk of developing diabetes in this population. The results of the study is currently published in the British “Nutrition” magazine. Earlier studies have shown that increasing daily intake of fruits and vegetables can reduce the incidence of type 2 diabetes, especially berries.
