我国政府今日之教育方针,为“理论与实际一致”。但在大学中教课,欲贯澈“理论与实际一致”之目标,却非容易之事。就分析化学而论,虽然在实验室中所做实验,与在教室内所讲理论,互相引证;即用实验来证明论理之真实,用理论来解释实验的所以然之故,似乎已可达到理论与实际之一致。但是,学生在学校实验室中所做的实验,与其毕业后到工厂中(或其他机关中)实际上所遇到的问题,往往不能一致。盖无论何种课程,自有其一定系统,一定范围;即我在复旦所教之高等分析一科,虽曾将各式各样的分析方法,尽力搜罗,但总不能包罗万象,一无遗漏。因此,我对于毕业生出去,常嘱其将来在分析工作上,如有困难问题,不
