传统局域网中的站点被束缚在所处网络物理位置上,不能按需划分逻辑子网、共享传输信道冲突和广播风暴等,故提出虚拟局域网(Virtual LAN)概念。VLAN的基础是LAN的帧交换和信元交换,每个LAN段通过VLAN网络管理软件与其它LAN段建立连接并可动态地组成新VLAN。VLAN的节点设备可连接到不同交换机的多台集线器上,物理位置的变动不影响其所属的VLAN。VLAN技术包括VLAN的划分、VLAN的信息传递、VLAN的配置、VLAN间的通信及其标准。该技术能充分满足用户对网络灵活性和扩展性的要求,对隔离网络故障、高效率分配网络骨干带宽和降低网络成本提供了技术保障。
Traditional LAN sites are tied to the physical location of the network, can not be divided into logical subnets, shared transmission channel conflicts and broadcast storms, etc., so the concept of virtual LAN (Virtual LAN). VLAN is based on the LAN frame switching and cell switching, each LAN segment through VLAN network management software to establish connections with other LAN segments and can dynamically form a new VLAN. VLAN node devices can be connected to multiple switches on different switches, physical changes in the location does not affect its VLAN. VLAN technology includes VLAN division, VLAN information transfer, VLAN configuration, communication between VLANs and their standards. The technology can fully meet the users’ requirements for network flexibility and scalability, and provides technical support for isolating network faults, efficiently allocating network backbone bandwidth and reducing network costs.
