The protein content of mature human milk has long been thought to be about 1.2 g / 100 ml, which is still present in the food composition table. Recent research shows that the actual amount of protein in human milk is only half as previously thought. The protein content of human milk was used as a reference standard for calculating infant protein requirements in the past, so the actual content of human milk protein is much lower than previously thought, and this finding will have an impact on the infant protein supply. New findings on the composition of human milk proteins will also have an impact on the protein formulas of infant formula.
