基因技术在解决食品短缺、增进人类健康、节约能源等方面发挥着越来越重要的作用。但是,转基因食品存在安全风险,必须通过法律手段加以控制。我国在发展转基因食品技术的同时,应制定专门的转基因食品安全性法规,建立和完善转基因食品安全的公众参与制度、安全评价制度、食品标识制度和救济制度,以保障转基因食品产业的健康发展。
Genetic technology plays an increasingly important role in solving food shortage, improving human health and saving energy. However, GMOs pose a safety risk and must be controlled by legal means. At the same time of developing the technology of genetically modified foods, China should formulate special regulations on the safety of genetically modified foods, establish and improve the public participation system, safety evaluation system, food labeling system and relief system for genetically modified food safety so as to ensure the healthy development of genetically modified food industry.
