美国学院派小说形成于20世纪50年代,美国学者对该类小说的研究起源于60年代早期,一直延续到现在,并呈现出日益发展壮大的趋势。由于起步较晚,对学院派小说的研究无论在美国本土还是在我国都是一个比较新的研究课题。本文按照时间的前后顺序,对该课题在美国的研究现状进行比较全面的概括梳理,对学院派小说的主要研究成果进行较为详尽的总结。目前美国本土对美国的学院派小说研究无论是在主题研究上,还是在写作风格研究上都略显不足,有许多实质性的问题有待进一步探讨和界定。
American academic novels formed in the 1950s. American scholars’ research on these novels originated in the early 1960s and lasted until now, showing a growing tendency of development. As a late start, the study of academic fiction is a relatively new subject both in the United States and in our country. Based on the order of time, this paper summarizes the research status of the subject in the United States in a comprehensive way and summarizes the main research results of the academic novels. At present, the study on the academic novels by the United States on the United States is not enough in terms of thematic studies or the study of writing styles. There are many substantive issues to be further explored and defined.
