色彩语言在绘画中是一个较复杂的问题,说复杂是因为这一重要的绘画元素具有多重性,色彩与颜料两个概念合二为一地在绘画中扮演着重要角色。色彩学是大家非常关注的,色彩十多重性的,而色彩本体即色彩的物质也是多重性的。在这里,色彩的物质指颜料。中国的颜料不同于西方,分为几大体系,种类繁多,用途广泛,为绘画的发展带来复杂性,也带来机遇。颜料决定着色彩,一方面它的应用关系是复杂的;另—方面,不同的媒介加入就有不同的“质”趣产生。因此,对色彩的认知角度非常重要,对色彩本体的关注极有意义,它是基础的又是语言的。
