四川是全国重点林区之一，有森林１１７２万公顷，林木总蓄积量１４．６５亿立方米，森林面积和蓄积均居全国前列。天然林主要分布在川西高原及川西南山地，形成原始森林自然风光；人工林主要分布在盆周山区及盆地中部，已郁郁葱葱，大多建立了森林公园或形成人工森林旅游景点
Sichuan is one of the key forest areas in the country with 11.72 million hectares of forests and a total volume of 1.465 billion cubic meters of forest trees, ranking the forefront of the forest area and stock in China. The natural forests are mainly distributed in the western Sichuan plateau and the southwestern Sichuan Mountains, forming the natural scenery of primitive forests. The plantations are mainly distributed in the mountainous basin and the central part of the basin. They have been lush and mostly have established forest parks or formed artificial forest tourist attractions
