街头粉笔画是意大利的传统艺术形式,早于十六十七世纪出现,至二十世纪逐渐被淡忘。直至1973年,一间教堂请来街头艺术家为教堂创作粉笔画,再令这艺术复兴。而今在欧洲繁华的街头、广场,甚至步行街的街心,经常可见跪在地上用粉笔作画的艺术家。内容和目的都大相径庭。这种无法保存的绘画,自然会很快消失在风雨尘土和人们匆匆的步履中。但却显露出西方人豁达直率、富有挑战精神的性格特征,而且实践了艺术创
