In the course of the modernization of various countries in the world, the mass media played a very important role. In the early modernization of China, which started with the Opium War, the media lagged behind social change for a long time and restricted the rate of social change. This situation has undergone fundamental changes with the rise of “Current Affairs Newspaper” after the Sino-Japanese War. Based on the “Five Ws” model of mass communication, this paper analyzes and studies the effects of communicators - content - media - audiences - that not only does “Current Affairs Daily” not only strongly promote the reform of the law, but also change China for decades The passive situation of lagging public opinion and the initiative of controlling the spread of media have opened up broad prospects for the new situation that China has entered into into a virtuous interaction between the media and social changes after the 20th century.
