近代上海成为苏南宗族成员的主要移居地,上海的西式生活和高度发达的商业社会所带来的思维观念、生活方式的变化,对原有的以血缘关系为纽带的宗族组织和宗法观念必带来极大的冲击,但同时,在陌生的都市中,移民生存仍然需要依靠血缘和地缘关系,血缘、地缘关系以及由此而来的宗族认同、家乡认同仍是他们之间的重要纽带,这就使得当时在上海的苏南宗族呈现出一些新的特点。本文以武进西营刘氏为个案,对苏南宗族迁居上海的模式进行初步的分析。
