In this paper, a new simple measuring device for measuring the human eye space modulation transfer function and the time-space modulation transfer function is introduced. It can display stable static sinusoidal grating and flashing sinusoidal grating. The device’s Markov rod and projection system changes the area of the sinusoidal grating into a density sinusoidal grating with a polarizing plate that changes the modulation of the density sinusoidal grating. The flickering sinusoidal grating is generated by a rotating pole that intercepts the illumination beam at the exit pupil of the projection system. The device was used to measure the spatial modulation transfer function of 50 normal subjects (100 eyes), 8 normal subjects
