Critical discourse analysis mainly focuses on news reports, official documents and non-literature discourses to reveal the relation between language use, ideology and power. This paper adopts John O’Regen’s TACO model to study prime minister Cameron’s speech in order to analyze the discourse strategies and the political intention. Furthermore, it reveals the importance that the discourse analysis has in conveying the ideology.
