1. Introduction From August 1 to August 4, 2011, the 19th World Translation Conference was held in San Francisco, USA. The translation symposium was jointly organized by the International Federation of Translators and the American Translators Association. 596 translators, terminologists, translation studies scholars and representatives of translation industry from 45 countries attended the conference.
