Chlamydia pneumoniae (TWAR) is a formally named respiratory pathogen in 1986. Its popularity in many countries and regions in the world has drawn the attention of clinicians. In order to understand TWAR infection status in Sanming City, we randomly selected 136 cases from July 1996 to April 1997 with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification.
