Recently, Sandia National Laboratories researchers demonstrated transistors and diodes made from advanced semiconductor materials that outperformed silicon materials. This breakthrough is one step closer to achieving more compact and more efficient power electronics, which will help upgrade consumer electronics to power grids and related equipment.
