“,”Objective To explore the relationship among childhood trauma ,dysfunctional attitude and alex-ithymia of schizophrenics and their first-degree relatives .Methods Assessments were conducted with the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) ,Dysfunctional Attitude Scale (DAS) and Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS) in 52 schizophrenics (patient group) ,48 patients’ first-degree relatives (relative group) and 48 healthy subjects (control group) .Results There were significant differences in 3 scale scores among three groups (P<0 .01) ,the TAS and DAS total score were significantly higher in patient than control group (P<0 .05 or 0 .01) ,so were those in relative than control group (P<0 .05 or 0 .01);the CTQ total score was significantly higher in patient than relative and control group (P0 .01) .Correlation analyses showed that there were two-two significant correlation among the TAS ,DAS and CTA total score (P<0 .01) .Regression analyses discovered that dysfunctional attitude could directly predict alexithymia and played a complete me-diation in the relationship between childhood trauma and alexithymia .Conclusion Schizophrenics’ child-hood trauma experience ,dysfunctional attitudes and alexithymia levels are all higher compared their first-degree relatives and healthy subjects and so are dysfunctional attitudes and alexithymia levels of first-de-gree relatives compared with healthy subjects .Dysfunctional attitude is main factor influencing alexithy-mia ,childhood trauma influence alexithymia via complete mediation effect of dysfunctional attitudes .
