世卫是世界卫生组织简称为WHO。是联合国下属的一个专门机构,国际上最大的政府间卫生组织。是联合国系统内卫生问题的指导和协调机构,负责对全球卫生事务提供领导,拟定卫生研究议程,制定规范和标准,阐明以证据为基础的政策方案,向各国提供技术支持,以及监测和评估卫生趋势。世界卫生组织的宗旨是使全世界人民获得尽可能高水平的健康。
WHO is the World Health Organization referred to as WHO. It is a specialized agency subordinate to the United Nations and the largest intergovernmental organization in the world. Is the steering and coordinating agency on health issues in the United Nations system responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, developing a health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trend. The mission of the World Health Organization is to provide the world’s people with the highest possible level of health.
