由于动压轴承具有许多滚动轴承所无法取代的优点,故在矿井提升绞车、减速器、通风机、空压机等煤矿机械中得到广泛运用。 液体动压滑动轴承的特点是轴承承载表面为较厚的一层润滑油膜所隔开,即运动表面在相当高的速度下自行将润滑油引入轴承的楔形区,产生油膜压力使两表面分开并支承轴承的载荷,从而避免了金属与金属之间的接触。因此,轴瓦直径D总是大于轴颈直径d,即轴承总是在间隙配合下工作的。轴瓦和轴颈的直径之差,就是配合间隙,以X表示,X=D-d(见图1)。
