晶闸管整流电路可以把交流电整流成直流电供给负载,也可把直流电逆变成交流电反送到电网中去。将直流电能转变成交流电能的过程,称为逆变过程。用晶闸管组成的能完成逆变过程的电路称为晶闸管逆变电路。在逆变电路中必须有一个供给能量的直流电源,如果同时有一个用来吸收电能的交流电源,则该逆变电路是有源逆变。整流和有源逆变是一个可控整流电路的两种工作状态,在一定条件下可互相转化。
