8月28日至29日,淮河水利委员会会同安徽省水利厅在蚌埠市主持召开了安徽省淮河干流荆山湖行洪区进、退洪闸工程投入使用验收会。淮委副主任刘玉年、安徽省水利厅副厅长方志宏及工程各有关参建单位的代表和专家参加了验收会。验收委员会按照水利部《水利水电建设工程验收规程》(SL223-1999)的规定,对荆山湖进、退洪闸工程进行了投入使用验收,同意荆山湖行洪区进、退洪闸工程以优良的施工质量通过投入使用验收,移交管理单位运行管理。
