小学语文教材中选入了占相当比重的科学常识性课文。它涉及多方面的科学常识,对增长学生知识,扩大视野,激发爱学习、爱科学的热情和培养良好习惯都有很大的作用。这些知识在阅读教材中作为阅读课文出现,就不同于常识课,不能仅仅使学生知道一些道理,甚至可以通过实验使学生获得直观的印象,而要把注意力放在指导学生理解字、词、句、篇和提高阅读能力上。让学生获得一些知识,明白一些道理是应该的。但那些知识和道理不是靠教师的讲解和实验传授的,而是依靠学生在反复学习课文中的语言文字的过程中读懂的。如何使学生学好这类教材,下面谈谈我的教学设想。
