美国黑人女作家托尼.莫里森在她的作品中探讨了黑人精神解放的问题。黑人抛弃或割舍黑人的文化传统,对白人文化的盲目顺从,只会使他们遭受愚弄和欺骗。更重要的是,黑人与自己本民族的文化传统的离异,其后果势必要导致黑人种族的主体意识的丧失,并危及到黑人种族自身的存在问题。黑人民族只有保持住自己的民族性,才能掌握自己的命运,达到真正的民族解放。
African American writer Tony Morrison explores the issue of black liberation in her work. Neglect or abandonment of black cultural traditions by blacks and blind obedience to white culture only make them fooled and deceived. More importantly, the consequence of the divorce of the cultural tradition of the blacks and their own people is bound to lead to the loss of the subjective consciousness of the black race and endanger the existence of the black race itself. Only by keeping their nationality, the black people can grasp their own destiny and achieve true national liberation.
