吴宏,明代江西金溪人,尤擅山水。他的山水画作品大多取材于自然景物以及所仰慕的桃花源仙境。画作中多描写村落等,配以人物点景,栩栩如生,所绘场景生活气息浓厚,意境幽雅,其画风也最为粗放和浑厚。纵观吴宏山水画中的村虚表现,可以总结为两点:一是画作中既有桃园般的村落,又有废墟般的村落。二是这种新旧交替的房屋,既是画家吴宏身处乱境,却心向桃园的心境的体现,又是画家吴宏现实生活的写照,是对现实社会的无情地讽刺,也是画家心中对重建新家园的期盼。
