The publication of the survey report on the nutritional status and health status of Chinese residents in 2002 completed by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Bureau of Statistics jointly led to widespread attention and enthusiastic response from leaders at all levels and the society. The journal published five reports of the survey and further introduced the survey’s work plan, sample characteristics, and descriptive analysis of the information obtained.
