To enhance students’ interest in high technology and improve their hands-on ability, Japanese students organize hand-made robots and then participate in the robot sumo wrestling and maze game competitions. Some universities even include it as a required course for graduates. Micro-motors, motors and sensors are three basic techniques for making robots. Production requires each student to independently complete the overall design, master computer hardware and software technology, select the motor, wheels, reducer, drive components and sensors, and learn how to use it. The sumo wrestler competed in a 154cm platter, with the participating robots using light sensors to detect the white edges on the platter and keep themselves under control over the white line. Ultrasonic sensors on the robot can capture each other, and issued by the computer attack instructions. Sumo robot size no more than 20cm, weighing less than 3kg, who will be the first to launch the white circle who wins.
